Rio Ngumoha has become Liverpool’s youngest-ever goalscorer following his strike against Newcastle during the 2025-26 campaign. The 17-year-old forward recorded 31 appearances for the club throughout the season.
In June 2026, Ngumoha earned his maiden England cap, playing 45 minutes in a match against New Zealand. Reflecting on the international call-up, the player described the experience as unexpected.
Regarding his progression at Liverpool, Ngumoha noted that his status within the squad has shifted from an emerging talent to an established member of the group. He is now targeting a regular starting position on either flank for the upcoming season.
