Mikel Arteta has reached an agreement on a new contract to extend his tenure as Arsenal manager. The deal secures his position at the club beyond his previous contract, which was scheduled to expire at the end of the 2026/27 season.

The new agreement includes a salary increase compared to his previous deal, which provided a base pay of £10 million per year alongside £5 million in performance-related bonuses. This extension follows a successful previous campaign in which Arsenal secured their first Premier League title in 20 years.

Arteta has served as the club's manager since his initial appointment in December 2019. Regarding the negotiations, Arteta stated last week that he is extremely happy and feels grateful to work with his current colleagues.
