Flamengo has initiated contact with Atletico Madrid regarding a potential €30 million transfer for midfielder Thiago Almada. This move represents the highest valuation currently linked to the player.
River Plate has also expressed interest in the midfielder and is reportedly preparing a separate offer of €20 million. Both clubs are seeking to secure the player’s services during the current transfer window.
Almada is presently unavailable for club negotiations as he is participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with his national team.
Despite the interest from South American clubs, Almada maintains a preference to continue his professional career within European football.
