Chelsea will host Real Sociedad in a pre-season friendly at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, August 15, 2026. This fixture serves as the final preparation for Chelsea ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League season.
The match marks the first time Xabi Alonso will manage a team at Stamford Bridge. Alonso previously played for Real Sociedad, where he served as the club captain during his professional career.
While the two clubs have never met in a competitive fixture, they previously played a pre-season friendly at the same venue in 2014. Chelsea won that encounter 2-0, with both goals scored by Diego Costa.
