PT Prachuap midfielder Andros Townsend was run over by a pitch roller during a warm-up session in Pattani, Thailand, on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The BBC reports that the incident occurred while the player was preparing for a Thai League 1 match.

Townsend described the event as terrifying, noting that his left leg was briefly trapped beneath the heavy machinery. He stated that he managed to lift his left arm to relieve some of the pressure before teammates arrived to lift the vehicle, allowing him to extract himself.

Despite the incident, Townsend sustained only bumps and bruises. He was cleared to participate in the match later that day, appearing as a substitute in a 3-0 victory for his team.

Townsend moved to Thailand in 2025 and previously played for Kanchanaburi Power before joining his current club, PT Prachuap.
